PERFORMANCE EVALUATION
Interested in training with us? We always start with a performance assessment facilitated by our Facility Manager, CJ. Each assessment is one hour in duration split into two parts. Part one covers information regarding goals, medical and injury history, training experience and nutritional guidance. Part two is where we assess head-to-toe joint mobility, perform an overhead squat assessment to expose any movement pattern deficiencies, and execute various exercises using basic forms of human movement (squat, hinge, push, pull, loaded carries, etc.). Once finished, we utilize our brand new InBody 380 Body Composition device to gather baseline data including skeletal muscle mass, water mass, body fat mass and 20+ metrics!

STEP 1 Contact Us
Email our Facility Manager, CJ directly at cj@xshadyside.com. You may also stop at our front desk and talk to a staff member about how to schedule a performance evaluation, but be prepared to share membership information and preferred times.
STEP 2 Choose Time & Confirm Appointment
Coordinate a convenient time with the Facility Manager to come in for your evaluation. Once a date and time are agreed upon, additional information on pricing and our InBody Scanner will be sent out via email prior to the evaluation.
STEP 3 Completing the Evaluation
We recommend showing up with athletic clothes and sneakers. These take about an hour, as we cover medical and training history, what you’re looking for, performing mobility exercises, and executing movement assessments using variations of squat, hinge, push and pull exercises. At the end, you will receive a complimentary InBody Scan! It’s a 30 second test using bioelectrical impedance to determine muscle mass, fat mass, water mass, percent body fat and more. Any other questions regarding pricing and/or packages are welcomed, and we hope you begin to train with us shortly after!
